Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using MetaForge ("Service") operated by MetaForge ("us", "we", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using MetaForge, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization.
2. Description of Service
MetaForge is a free, browser-based tool that helps users generate SEO-optimized metadata (titles, descriptions, and keywords) for stock photos using third-party AI APIs. The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to upload illegal, infringing, or harmful content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage or impair it
- Circumvent any rate-limiting or security measures
- Upload images depicting illegal activity, violence, or explicit adult content
- Share or sell access to your account
- Use automated scripts to interact with the Service beyond its intended use
5. API Keys and Third-Party Services
The Service requires you to supply your own API keys from third-party AI providers. You are solely responsible for compliance with those providers' terms of service. MetaForge does not store your API keys on our servers — they are kept in your browser's local storage.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of all images you upload. By using the Service, you grant MetaForge a limited license to process your images in-browser solely to provide the Service. As described in our Privacy Policy, your images are sent directly to your chosen AI API provider and are not stored by MetaForge.
7. Intellectual Property
The MetaForge name, logo, and Service interface are the intellectual property of MetaForge. You may not use our trademarks or branding without our prior written consent.
8. Advertisements
MetaForge is free to use and is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. By using the Service, you consent to the display of advertisements. You agree not to use ad-blocking software that prevents advertisements from displaying, as this is the sole mechanism by which we fund the free Service.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of AI-generated metadata. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all generated content before use.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MetaForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold MetaForge harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MetaForge operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
